🚫 Gadzooks Enchiladas & Soup, a local fast-casual concept offering a customizable menu of enchiladas, has closed its locations in downtown Tempe and downtown Chandler.
The Tempe one, on University just west of Mill, opened in 2019. The Chandler one, on the northwest corner of Arizona and Frye, in 2020.
In a notice posted on the doors, owners Jared and Aaron Pool called the closings ‘‘tough decisions in response to changing times’’ without further elaborating.
Gadzooks still has locations in midtown Phoenix, Arcadia, and Epicenter in Gilbert.
Besides enchiladas, its menu features tacos, salads, soups, and pumpkin cookies.
