The Melt joins PV development in Phoenix for Arizona debut

🧀 The Melt, a San Francisco-based chain specializing in cheeseburgers, grilled cheese sandwiches, and mac and cheese, has made its Arizona debut at PV, the redevelopment of the former Paradise Valley Mall on the northwest corner of Cactus and Tatum in northeast Phoenix.

The Melt, whose 16 other locations all are in California, was founded in San Francisco in 2011 by tech mogul Jonathan Kaplan and originally sold only grilled cheese sandwiches and soup.

Now, the best-selling menu item is the Meltburger, six ounces of chopped Angus and Wagyu beef filled with pickled jalapeƱo mix and a double helping of cheese ($9.79).

The current menu features eight burgers ($9.79-$16.49), eight melted sandwiches ($7.49-$10.79), mac and cheese ($4.99-$11.49), grilled or crispy chicken sandwiches ($9.79-$11.79), fries, and more.

Hours are 10 a.m.-11 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 10 a.m.-midnight Friday-Saturday.
