🌮 Blanco Cocina & Cantina, the Sonoran-style Mexican concept from restaurateur Sam Fox, opens its seventh Valley location today near the northwest corner of Rural and University in Tempe.
It joins Fox siblings Italia North, which also opened today, and Flower Child, which opened Tuesday, at Novus Place, the entertainment district at the 355-acre Novus Innovation Corridor at ASU.
The menu offers tacos ($15-$22 for two with rice and beans), burritos and bowls ($14-$22), enchiladas ($15-$19), chimichangas ($18-$19), fajitas ($23-$27), salads ($13-$16), and green chile smash burgers ($17 with fries).
Margaritas, mezcal and tequila flights, sangria, and aguas frescas are highlights of the bar program.
Blanco has four restaurants in Phoenix – including the elevated Blanco Reserva at PV and a concession at Sky Harbor – and others in Scottsdale and Peoria. Overall, it has 14 locations in six states.
Hours are 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 11 a.m.-11 p.m. Friday-Saturday.
