🍖 Phoenix’s Little Miss BBQ has been invited to participate in the first-ever Lone Star Smokeout, a boutique barbecue and country music festival May 2-4 at AT&T Stadium in Arlington, Texas.
The new event, from the team behind Chicago’s popular Windy City Smokeout, will celebrate Texas-style barbecue and feature 14 renowned pitmasters, including James Beard Award nominees and Michelin-recommended smokehouses.
Ten of the invitees represent some of the biggest names in Texas barbecue, including Panther City BBQ, 2M Smokehouse BBQ, Dayne’s Craft Barbeque, and Curry Boys BBQ.
Little Miss BBQ is one of only four invitees from outside Texas, ‘‘each showing off their own regional twist on BBQ and how Texas has inspired them,’’ festival culinary director Max Robbin says.
The other three non-Texans are Meat Mitch Barbecue from Leawood, Kan.; Pappy’s Smokehouse from St. Louis; and Wright’s Barbecue from Fayetteville, Ark.
Cody Jinks, Jon Pardi, and Midland will headline the music lineup.
