🥒 Mr. Pickle’s Sandwich Shop, a Scottsdale-based sandwich chain, has opened its seventh Valley location in the Safeway center on the southeast corner of Chandler and 40th Street in Ahwatukee.
Founded by Frank and Michele Fagundes in San Mateo, Calif., in 1995, Mr. Pickle’s was purchased by Valley resident Mike Nelson in 2020. It has 54 locations in Arizona and California.
Popular sandwiches include the Mr. Pickle (chicken breast, bacon, Monterey jack, avocado and the works), the Goomba (capicola, pepperoni, salami, ham, red onion, and the works), and the Big Jake (turkey, cream cheese, avocado, and the works).
Hours are 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 10 a.m.-6 p.m. Sunday.
