Carolina’s Mexican Food launches 7th Valley location in Chandler

🌯 Carolina’s Mexican Food, one of my favorite Valley restaurants, has opened its seventh Valley location on the southwest corner of Alma School and Warner in Chandler.

It’s great news for East Valley residents, whose only other Carolina’s opened in Mesa in 2017.

Also great news: The Chandler building, originally a Carl’s Jr. that then was home to Pork on a Fork for just 13 months before the barbecue joint closed in 2023, has a drive-through.

Carolina’s fast-casual menu features burros, tacos, enchiladas, tamales, and tostadas. But the eatery is perhaps best-known for its award-winning 15-inch tortillas, which are made in-house daily.

Carolina and Manuel Valenzuela opened the first Carolina’s in south Phoenix in 1968. Today, two branches of the family separately operate the seven  Valley restaurants.

Open 7 a.m.-9 p.m. (drive-through until 10 p.m.) Monday-Saturday.
