🌮 La Cocina, a refined Mexican restaurant inspired by ‘‘the iconic dining experiences of Southern California,’’ has opened in far north Scottsdale.
It takes over the former Hacienda’s Mexican Grill space (a few spaces south of the new Patricia’s Pizza) at The Summit on the northeast corner of Scottsdale and Ashler Hills.
Menu highlights include chicken, beef, or shrimp fajitas; an 8-ounce Snake River Farms wagyu skirt steak; Jalisco-style birria; and house-made churros with a dulce de leche dipping sauce.
The bar is stocked with 62 tequilas. Specialty cocktails include Oaxacan negronis, Jalisco mojitos, and añejo old fashioneds.
Open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.
