🥃 The Bar, a self-described neighborhood tavern ‘‘particularly reminiscent of the state of Michigan,’’ has soft-opened in uptown Phoenix.
The locally owned concept’s second current location takes over the former Mateo’s Beach Bar space on the northwest corner of Seventh Avenue and Missouri.
The Bar debuted in Arcadia in 2016 with a ‘‘Big Lebowski’’ theme. A previous second location with a ‘‘Pulp Fiction’’ theme opened in downtown Gilbert in 2022 but closed last year.
The streamlined food menu focuses on burgers ($13-$16 with fries), sandwiches ($10-$16 with fries), and wings (a dozen for $16).
Eight signature cocktails include The Dude Abides (vanilla vodka, coffee liqueur, and Irih cream, $11).
Open noon-2 a.m. daily.
