🍝 Buca di Beppo, a Florida-based chain of Italian-American restaurants, has closed its Old Town Scottsdale location.
It’s the chain’s second Valley closure in less than a year. A Chandler location shut down last summer just days before the chain filed for bankruptcy protection and closed 13 locations nationwide.
In its bankruptcy filing, Buca di Beppo blamed its troubles on lower sales, rising costs, and the difficulty of hiring.
Buca di Beppo had more than 80 locations four years ago, but now is down to 41. It still operates Valley restaurants in Mesa and Peoria.
