Tex-Mex chain On The Border abruptly closes all 3 Valley locations

🌮 On The Border Mexican Grill & Cantina, a Dallas-based chain of Tex-Mex restaurants, abruptly has closed all three of its Valley locations:

• On the southeast corner of Ray and 50th Street in Ahwatukee;

• On the southwest corner of Power and U.S. 60 in east Mesa;

• On the southwest corner of 75th Avenue and Bell in Peoria.

Media reports indicate several other On The Border locations across the country also closed permanently in the past week.

On the Border – which had 150-plus restaurants a decade ago but now lists only 67 on its website – has made no announcement except brief notices posted on the doors of the closed locations.

The chain serves fajitas, tacos, burritos, enchiladas, and margaritas.
