🥖 Cheba Hut, the Valley-born chain of cannabis-themed sub shops, opens its 11th Arizona location today on the northwest corner of Shea and the Loop 101 in central Scottsdale.
The 3,000-square-foot-plus end-cap space features a custom mural by Colorado artist Joshua Finley that pays tribute to Scottsdale’s reputation as a hub for classic car enthusiasts.
“Among other features, you’ll get to time-travel to January 20, 1998, when the first Cheba Hut opened,’’ Finley says of his artwork.
Cheba Hut’s menu offers a variety of ‘‘toasted’’ subs with tongue-in-cheek names like Jamaican Red, Kali Mist, and Thai Stick – despite the theme, no cannabis products are used in the food – along with munchies, craft cocktails and local beers.
Subs come in three sizes: nug (4 inches, $4.29-$7.09), pinner (6 inches, $6.59-$11.59), and blunt (12 inches, $8.89-$15.59).
Open 10 a.m.-10 p.m. Sunday-Thursday and 10 a.m.-midnight Friday-Saturday.
