Faava, a fast-casual Mediterranean restaurant, opens today behind Chandler Fashion Center on the southeast corner of Chandler Village Drive and Frye.
It’s situated next to fine-dining restaurant Feringhee Modern Indian Cuisine. Both are part of the Zest Hospitality Group.
The menu from Sujan Sarkar, chef and co-founder of Feringhee, includes a half-dozen small plates such as harissa chicken and hummus ($12, pictured), falafel with tahini yogurt and pickles ($8), and muhammara, a dish of charred red pepper, allepo pepper, pomegranate, and walnuts ($8).
There are four grilled kebobs – cauliflower ($12), chicken ($14), ground lamb ($14), and harisa salmon ($16) – and three pitas – falafel and harissa tahini ($10), harisa chicken and zhoug ($12), and lamb and tzatziki ($14).
Date cake ($4) and baklava ($4) are the dessert options.
