🍖 Mission BBQ, a Maryland-based chain dedicated to giving back to veterans, police, and firefighters, has made its Arizona debut near PV, the $2 billion redevelopment of the former Paradise Valley Mall in northeast Phoenix.
The fast-casual restaurant is located next to Panera Bread near the northwest corner of Cactus and Tatum.
Mission BBQ was founded on Sept. 11, 2011, by Steve Newton and Bill Kraus. It now has 145 restaurants in 22 states.
Its menu features barbecue staples such as baby back ribs (five for $14), brisket ($13.36 entree, $13.19 sandwich), pulled pork ($9.39, $8.99), pulled chicken ($8.99, $8.49), turkey ($9.99, $9.49), and sausage ($9.99 entree).
Sides include mac and cheese, baked beans, slaw, green beans, and fries ($3.14-$3.39).
Each restaurant is filled with tributes to those who serve, and every day at lunchtime the national anthem is played.
Open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. Monday-Saturday and 11:30 a.m.-8 p.m. Sunday.
