Handroll & Poke By Gohan, a small Japanese restaurant, has opened on the northwest corner of 91st Avenue and Glendale – just north of Westgate Entertainment District – in Glendale.
The compact menu features four appetizers ($7-$11), nine specialty sushi rolls ($6-$7 for hand roll, $8-$10 for cut roll), and two rice bowls ($13).
But diners also can build their own rolls by choosing from eight proteins, six sauces, and six toppings ($7 for hand roll, $10 for cut roll).
Similarly, diners can built their own poke bowls from seven proteins and six sauces ($16 for two scoops, $18 for three).
Open 11 a.m.-9 p.m. daily.
