Arizona Wilderness opens 3rd brewpub on Phoenix’s Miracle Mile

🍺 Gilbert-based Arizona Wilderness Brewing has opened its third brewpub on the historic Miracle Mile near downtown Phoenix.

The 10,000-square-foot building on the northwest corner of McDowell and 15th Street formerly was home to multiple businesses, including a commercial florist, a piano store, a jeweler, a laundromat, and the Stardust Tavern.

(Quick history lesson: The Miracle Mile was a portion of McDowell Road that was the Valley’s first shopping district outside of downtown Phoenix in the 1940s. It flourished until shopping malls arrived in the late 1950s.)

The brick-and-wood building houses a 15-barrel brewhouse, a counter-service restaurant (you also can order from your table using a QR code), and a taproom.

It features high ceilings, a large black-and-white desert mural, and a row of windows looking out at McDowell Road.

The food menu offers favorites from the other two brewpubs as well as some new items. Almost all highlight locally sourced meats and produce.

Core beers include Refuge IPA, Don’t F#%k It Up blonde ale, Cactus Juice sour (made with prickly pear juice), and Le Cuidad hazy IPA.

Open 11 a.m.-10 p.m. daily.

Arizona Wilderness debuted in Gilbert in 2013. It added a beer garden in downtown Phoenix in 2019 and the Woodnotes Cellar just north of the original Gilbert brewpub in 2022.
