Six Byrd Cider launches 2nd taproom at Tempe production facility

🍎 Six Byrd Cider has opened a second Valley taproom at its new production facility in Tempe.

The cidery, which offers a rotating selection of up to 75 ciders  every year, was founded in 2019 in Tempe by Jared, Eric, and Jackson Thorn – two brothers and a cousin (pictured).

Originally known as Crush Craft Cider, it opened a taproom and kitchen on the southeast corner of Indian School and 36th Street in Phoenix in 2022.

(While launching the taproom, the company changed its name to Six Byrd to avoid trademark issues.)

The new taproom is located on the north side of University about halfway between McClintock and Price – the same small strip mall that once was home to Sleepy Dog Brewery.

Unlike the Phoenix taproom, which serves pizzas and bar bites, the new one doesn’t have a kitchen. Food trucks are being scheduled.

Open 3-10 p.m. Wednesday-Friday, 11 a.m.-10 p.m. Saturday, and 11 a.m.-7 p.m. Sunday.
