Borderlands Brewing losing its home in downtown Tucson

🍺 Borderlands Brewing, one of the staples of Tucson’s craft brewing scene for 14 years, has lost its downtown building.

‘‘After more than a decade of serving Tucson with heart, with pride, and with an unwavering belief in our city, we’ve learned that our home at 119 E Toole Ave will be turned over to a national comedy chain backed by Live Nation,’’ the brewery posted on social media.

Borderlands also operates two taprooms in Tucson. Their fate is uncertain.

‘‘We do not have any updates right now,’’ the brewery posted. ‘‘Just a heavy heart and so much gratitude for everyone who has supported us on this journey. Thank you for being part of it.’’

Borderlands’ popular beers include Toole Avenue hazy IPA, Noche Dolce porter, Citrana sour, and German Chocolate Cake porter.
