🍸 Shiv Supper Club, a fine-dining restaurant and bar, has opened in the former Mint Lounge space near the southeast corner of Camelback and Saddlebag Trail in Old Town Scottsdale.
The 13,869-square-foot venue is the newest concept from Riot Hospitality, whose other brands are Cake, Dierks Bentley’s Whiskey Row, El Hefe, Farm & Craft, Hand Cut Chophouse, Riot House, and Maya Day & Nightclub.
Menu highlights include fresh-baked Parker House rolls with shaved truffles folded into house-made butter, a lobster caviar dome crowned with gold leaf, and a 40-ounce tomahawk steak presented tableside.
Signature cocktails include the Well Dressed (gin, vermouth, and lemon olive oil served with salt and pepper popcorn, pictured) and a Salt & Vinegar Martini (infused with salt and vinegar chips and pickle brine, served with chips.).
At 10 p.m. Fridays and Saturdays, the supper club transforms into The Dessert Room featuring indulgences such as a dessert caviar service and bananas Foster baked Alaska flambéed tableside.
A custom sound system delivers a nightly soundtrack of remixed house and pop music with immersive lighting.
Open 5-11 p.m. Tuesday-Wednesday, 5 p.m.-midnight Thursday, 5 p.m.-1 a.m. Friday-Saturday, and 5-11 p.m. Sunday.


Pita Jungle in Tempe
🥙 Popular Mediterranean chain Pita Jungle closed its flagship location in downtown Tempe on Sunday. Three ASU students launched Pita Jungle on Apache Boulevard in Tempe in 1994 and had grown it to 21 locations throughout Arizona. The Tempe location moved to the northeast corner of University and Mill in 2015.
Gertrude’s in Phoenix
🌵 After 13 years, the Desert Botanical Garden in Phoenix is ending its partnership with Gertrude’s Restaurant on May 31. The in-house eatery’s seasonal menus feature globally inspired dishes highlighting ingredients from Arizona and the Southwest. The garden plans to announce a new restaurant partner this summer.

Angry Crab Shack coming to south Gilbert
🦀 Angry Crab Shack, which debuted in Mesa in 2013 and now has 25 locations in six states and the United Kingdom, is opening a restaurant in south Gilbert. MXSW Insiders can read more here.
