🥕 Desert Roots Kitchen, a popular vegan cafe serving globally inspired cuisine made from local ingredients, has reopened in a new location.
After 13 years in downtown Tempe, the deli-style eatery closed last month after being hit with a huge rent increase. But owner Leslie Robin found a new Tempe home inside Rainbow Bliss Botanicals.
The health and beauty shop is located next to Back East Bagels in the Sprouts plaza on the northwest corner of McClintock and Southern.
The space has a commercial kitchen, allowing DRK to resume making creative plant-based dishes like Maple Dijon Dill Veggie Lentil wraps and Spicy-ish Coconut Curry Black Bean Hummus.
The menu changes daily. You can find the latest version on DRK’s social media.
DRK is open 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Tuesday-Saturday.
