Cave Creek Gyros serves street food with Greek soul

🥙 There’s a new reason to head north to Cave Creek – and it’s wrapped in warm pita and dripping with garlicky tzatziki.

Cave Creek Gyros has opened its doors on the southeast corner of Carefree Highway and Black Mountain Boulevard, serving up fast-casual Mediterranean eats with a serious Greek street-food vibe.

The owners, who moved to Arizona from Chicago, know a thing or two about a proper gyro. Their spit-roasted lamb-beef combo is sliced to order and tucked into pillowy pitas with tomato, onion, and a generous swipe of house-made sauce.

Chicken souvlaki, falafel, spanakopita, and loaded Greek fries round out the compact menu – quick enough for a lunch break, bold enough to bring you back for dinner.

Inside, the space is cozy but cheerful, with a few booths, a couple rows of tables, and a pickup counter built for speed.

Open for lunch and dinner Monday-Saturday.
