🍣 Minnow – a new concept from chef Bernie Kantak and the team behind Citizen Public House, The Gladly, and Beginner’s Luck – has opened on the northeast corner of 32nd Street and Campbell in east Phoenix’s Arcadia neighborhood.
The fast-casual venue functions as a matcha and coffee bar in the morning and a sushi and craft cocktail restaurant the rest of the day.
The morning menu offers 11 drinks featuring single-origin Nekohama matcha, ranging from a hand-whisked shot for purists to lattes and lemonades. Non-matcha coffee drinks, teas, and mocktails also are available.
Breakfast bites include barley tea banana bread, burnt miso poundcake, and matcha cheesecake.
The lunch menu under head sushi chef Spencer Shin features 17 rolls, nigiri, sashimi, donburi (rice bowls), and “bento bits’’ such as edamame, seaweed salad, and Spam musabi.
Soft-opening hours are 7 a.m.-4 p.m. daily with dinner hours expected to start later this month.
