The Vig opens 1st East Valley location Monday at Mesa’s Dana Park

🍹 Upscale neighborhood tavern concept The Vig opens its seventh Valley location – and first in the East Valley – at 11 a.m. Monday at Dana Park in Mesa.

It takes over the shopping center suite formerly home to The Harp Irish Pub on the northwest corner of Val Vista and Baseline.

Each location of The Vig tries to reflect its neighborhood. In this case, the completely renovated space features a 2,500-square-foot patio that seats up to 90 people under a sun-filtering trellis.

The inside, decorated it what they’re calling ‘‘Modern Mesa’’ style, has a copper-topped bar, gray tiles, and Old West-style leather booths.

The Vig’s menu, which varies slightly by location, focuses on burgers, sandwiches, tacos, and comfort-food entrees.
