🍝 South Tempe has a new spot for hearty Italian eats with the opening of Spaghetti Shark, yet another casual counter-service joint dishing out pasta bowls, toasted subs, crisp salads, and craveable sides on the southwest corner of Kyrene and Warner.
The family-owned eatery is similar in concept to chains Spaghetti Shack and By The Bucket, both of which have locations in Tempe.
The star of Spaghetti Shark’s menu is, of course, spaghetti. Bowls come topped with house-made marinara, meaty Bolognese, or rich Alfredo, with optional add-ons like grilled chicken, meatballs, or Italian sausage.
Other standouts include toasted subs like the chicken parm or meatball, piled high on crusty rolls with melty cheese. Lighter fare includes the ‘‘Sea Czar’’ (Caesar) salad. House-made desserts like tiramisu, cheesecake, and parfaits round out the lineup.
Lunch specials – such as spaghetti with a meatball and a piece of garlic bread – are just $7.50.
While the concept is geared toward takeout and delivery, there is some seating in a shark-themed dining area.
