The Uprooted Kitchen owners to close Gilbert restaurant in 2026

🥕 The Uprooted Kitchen, one of the Valley’s top planet-based restaurants, has announced it will not renew its lease at Barnone in Gilbert next year.

When their current lease expires in November 2026, owners Erin and Chad Romanoff (pictured) plan to transition into working as private chefs.

‘‘We haven’t completely decided what services will be available but will likely include in-home cooking classes & meal prep,’’ they posted on social media. ‘‘If you love our desserts, we are also considering offering a home delivery service.

‘‘Please don’t hesitate to offer us your suggestions as this transition occurs late next year.’’

The Uprooted Kitchen operated as a food truck from 2012 until the launch of Barnone near the northwest corner of Higley and Ray in 2018.
