🛒 Congrats to Valley chef Adam Allison, who won the Food Network’s latest episode of ‘‘Supermarket Stakeout,’’ which was filmed in a Bashas’ parking lot in Surprise and aired Tuesday night.
The reality show pits four chefs in a series of elimination challenges where they purchase ingredients from shoppers outside a supermarket.
It’s the second Food Network win for Allison, operator of the Brightside Burgers food truck and co-owner of the upcoming Tortoise & Hare restaurant in downtown Mesa. He previously won ‘‘Chopped’’ in 2018.
In Tuesday’s final round, Allison defeated former Valley chef Kevin Lebron, who left last year to take over Larcher’s Market in Wichita, Kan., in a ‘‘Cookie Swap’’ challenge.
Allison’s winning dish – which earned a year of free groceries – was a cereal cookie with white chocolate ganache and cereal milk.
The episode, titled ‘‘All American Parking Lot,’’ repeats at 6 a.m. Friday and 8 a.m. next Tuesday on most TV providers.
