4 recently opened Mediterranean spots in the Valley

🥙 Mediterranean restaurants generally are viewed as healthier (and often more affordable) options for diners, so it’s no surprise that several new ones have launched in all areas of the Valley.

Caroun Restaurant, which has been serving Mediterranean and Middle Eastern dishes in north Phoenix since 2018, has opened a second location in the Goodwill/Dollar Tree plaza on the northeast corner of Olive and 51st Avenue in Glendale.

Supreme Shawarma, a casual eatery in west Chandler that serves some of the best shawarma in the Valley, has opened a second location (pictured) just west of McDonald’s on the southwest corner of Indian School and 32nd Street in Phoenix.

Shawarma House has taken over the former Shish Kebobs & Gyros space at Mountain View Plaza on the southeast corner of Hayden and Mountain View in central Scottsdale.

Pita Kitchen, which operates locations in Avondale and Glendale, has opened a third just west of Raising Cane’s on the southwest corner of Bell and Civic Center in Surprise. And a fourth is on the way in Buckeye.
