Chandler bakery among AAA’s ‘Best Places for Pie in the West’

🥧 Chandler bakery Quiches & Pies has been named one of nine “Best Places for Pie in the West” by AAA’s travel magazine Via.

The shop, which Cuisine & Wine Bistro owners Máiréad and Fabrice Buschtetz opened last November, was celebrated for its buttery French-style crusts and decadent fillings.

‘Offerings include savory quiche slices, like one with goat cheese and roasted tomatoes, and elegant bourdaloue pies, which are made in a golden crust, stuffed with poached pears and almond cream, and garnished with toasted almond.

‘‘This bakery and coffee shop’s rotating selection combines authentic French baking techniques (and imported French butter) with locally sourced ingredients, resulting in a unique fusion of tastes and flavors.

‘‘The real star here is the quiche Lorraine, a rich and savory classic made with ham, bacon, and Swiss cheese, all baked together in a buttery pastry crust.’’

Quiche & Pies is located on the southeast corner of Alma School and Ray.
