Prince Street Pizza, a New York-based chain known for its Sicilian “SoHo” square slices and Neapolitan-style whole pies, makes its Arizona debut at 5 p.m. Thursday in downtown Tempe.
It’s taking over the former Jimmy John’s space at Centerpoint on the west side of Mill halfway between Sixth and Seventh streets.
Founded in 2012, Prince Street is credited with creating the Spicy Spring, its signature take on classic Sicilian-style pizza with cup and char pepperoni (pictured). Slices and whole pies are served.
Other popular pizzas include The Original Prince (cheese), Spicy Vodka (prosciutto-infused vodka sauce and cheese), and The Naughty Pie (vodka sauce, pepperoni, mozzarella, ricotta, and hot honey).
The pizzeria’s 16 locations around the country use a special water filtration system to replicate the water used at the original in New York City.
