🥪 The Delicatessen, the newest concept from prolific Valley restaurateur Joey Maggiore, has made its debut near the northeast corner of Tatum and Cactus in northeast Phoenix.
It takes over the space formerly home to another Maggiore concept, The Rosticceria, which closed last November.
The Jewish-style deli focuses on a variety of sandwiches – hand-carved, chopped, bodega-style, and ‘‘Brooklyn favorites.’’ There’s also salads, matzo ball soup, latkes, pierogi, and more.
Amenities include a 25-plus-item bagel bar, a chopped Italian sub bar, and a custom soda fountain bar with four flavors of egg creams.
Other Maggiore concepts include Hash Kitchen, The Italiano, The Mexicano, and The Sicilian Butcher.
