21-year-old launches Snowbird Ice Cream in Fountain Hills

🍦 Snowbird Ice Cream Co., Fountain Hills’ only dedicated ice cream shop, has opened on the southwest corner of Avenue of the Fountains and Verde River Drive.

Founded by 21-year-old Fountain Hills resident Izaak Wontorski, the 860-square-foot shop features a flavors from the Chocolate Shoppe in Madison, Wis.

“The inspiration for Snowbird came from my time playing ice hockey, where post-game ice cream trips became a regular tradition,” Wontorski says. “After travelling across the country to try different types, I knew that I had to bring the deliciousness of Chocolate Shoppe to Arizona.”

The Chocolate Shoppe is known for super-premium small-batch ice creams including Zanzibar Chocolate, Apple Cider Donut, Blackberry Lemon Bar, and Mango Untamed.
