🥗 Arizona-born Salad and Go is slimming down. The Gilbert-founded drive-thru salad chain has closed 41 locations, including all of its Houston, Austin, and San Antonio stores, plus a handful in Dallas and Oklahoma.
None of its 55 Valley locations are affected.
The move, according to new CEO Mike Tattersfield, will allow the brand to focus on strengthening its Dallas and Oklahoma markets, while continuing to serve guests in Phoenix, Tucson, and Las Vegas.
Launched in 2013 by Tony and Roushan Christofellis with the mission of making healthier food affordable and convenient, Salad and Go grew rapidly with tiny shops slinging $6-$8 salads, wraps, soups, breakfast burritos, and cold brew.
The chain, sold by the Christofellises in 2021 and now based in Dallas, nearly doubled in size over the past two years, topping 140 locations nationwide in May.
