🥐☕️ Downtown Phoenix just scored a major win for pastry and coffee lovers.
CP Coffee and Pâtisserie, the new concept from specialty coffee leader Julia Peixoto Peters and acclaimed baker Mark Chacón, has officially opened its doors, blending world-class pastries with a coffee program designed to impress.
It’s located in the 850 PBC Building on the southwest corner of Fifth and Garfield streets.
Peixoto Peters, the force behind the award-winning Peixoto Coffee Roasters, brings her expertise in sourcing and roasting beans, ensuring every espresso, latte, and pour-over is brewed with precision and care.
Chacón, celebrated for his mastery of Viennoiserie and patisserie at his Chacónne Patisserie, fills the pastry case with buttery croissants, glossy fruit tarts, and French classics that rival what you’d find in Paris.
The pastry lineup rotates daily, showcasing staples like almond croissants, éclairs, and mille-feuille alongside seasonal creations – think pistachio cream puffs or passionfruit entremets that double as edible art.
Pair one with a perfectly pulled shot of espresso, and you’ve got a match made in culinary heaven.
The café itself is bright and modern, with marble counters, cozy corners for work or conversation, and patio tables designed for lingering.
CP’s vibe is equal parts neighborhood gathering place and indulgent escape, whether you’re starting your morning, catching up with a friend, or picking up a pastry box for a dinner party.
