Starbucks closing hundreds of stores, including some in Valley

🚫 Starbucks is closing approximately 400 stores across the country, including several in the Valley, as the coffee giant contends with increased competition, inflation, and consumer shifts.

The chain also is laying off 900 corporate employees as part of a $1 billion restructuring.

The Valley locations reportedly closing include:

• Camelback and 16th Street in Phoenix;
• Camelback and Seventh Avenue in Phoenix;
• Scottsdale and 74th Street in Scottsdale;
• Hayden and Northsight in Scottsdale;
• Scottsdale and Indian Bend in Scottsdale;
• University and Forest in Tempe;
• Country Club and Juanita in Mesa.

At least a half-dozen Tucson locations also are closing.
