🔥 La Santisima, the acclaimed Phoenix taco shop that’s been featured on the Food Network’s ‘‘Diners, Drive-Ins, and Drives,’’ has closed after a devastating fire.
Fire crews responded at 2 a.m. Sunday to the family-owned restaurant on the northeast corner of 16th Street and Indian School. No injuries were reported, but the building suffered considerable damage.
Owners Felipe and Cristina Guzman says it will be several months before the taqueria is able to reopen. In the meantime, they have launched a GoFundMe campaign to help support their employees.
“It may take some time, but there will be another Santisima,” Felipe Guzman says.
