🚫 Revolu Modern Taqueria & Bar, a well-regarded Mexican eatery just south of Peoria Sports Complex, has closed after eight years in business.
San Diego native Jeremiah Gracia and his wife Deena (pictured) launched Revolu in December 2016, naming it after Avenida Revolucion, a popular street in Tijuana known for street food.
Revolu offered modern takes on traditional Mexican street food with a commitment to making almost everything from scratch, including salsas and drink mixes.
The menu featured 15 kinds of tacos, guacamole flights, and creative appetizers like Mexi-meatballs.
A second Revolu location opened in uptown Phoenix in 2019 but closed in 2023.
