🦢 Society Swan – the latest Sam Fox concept, described as ‘‘part timeless American brasserie, part French daydream’’ – officially opens today at Scottsdale Fashion Square.
The two-level restaurant’s name is drawn from New York City’s ‘‘Swans’’ – a group of iconic socialites in the 1960s and ’70s — and Swan Island in Paris.
It takes over the former Kona Grill space in the shopping center’s renovated south wing, joining Toca Madera, Nobu, Élephante, Catch, and the upcoming Teleferic Barcelona.
Society Swan’s menu highlights include wagyu skirt steak frites, a coastal take on fish and chips, a raw bar, and a Waldorf grain bowl.
(Pictured: wagyu pigs on a blanket with mustard seed sauce, $19, and fresh fig tartlet with aged goat cheese, arugula, and butter poached almond, $17.)
The Ciao Brooklyn (bonded rye whiskey, a vermouth trio, toasted pecan, and house bitters) anchors a collection of classic and contemporary cocktails. There’s also a $10 happy hour martini menu.
