Obon Sushi Bar Ramen opens at CityScape in downtown Phoenix

🍣 Downtown Phoenix has gotten a new dose of modern Japanese cool. Tucson-born Obon Sushi Bar Ramen, known for its energetic vibe and polished yet playful take on Japanese dining, has opened its latest Valley location on the northeast corner of Central and Jefferson.

The restaurant marks Obon’s third metro Phoenix spot, joining Scottsdale Quarter and The Grove at McCormick Ranch.

Set along the street level inside CityScape, the stylish 3,300-square-foot space blends industrial minimalism with glowing neon and a central cocktail bar.

The menu features OBON’s greatest hits – signature rolls like the Firecracker and Citrus Yellowtail, ramen favorites like Spicy Garlic Tonkotsu and Miso Honey, and a rotating lineup of chef’s specials.

Drinks get equal billing. The bar program shakes up craft cocktails with Japanese spirits, house-infused sake, and a tight but thoughtful whiskey selection.
