🚫 Wayback Burgers, a Connecticut-based chain that made its Arizona debut at Gilbert Town Square, has closed after 21 months.
Wayback served always-fresh, made-to-order burgers, chicken sandwiches, cheesesteaks, hot dogs, and hand-dipped milkshakes.
It launched the 1,807-square-foot restaurant – the only one in Arizona – on Gilbert Road between Warner and Ray in January 2024.
The chain’s website lists the Gilbert location as ‘‘coming soon,’’ but the phone been disconnected.
