Worth Takeaway, downtown Mesa’s cult-favorite sandwich shop, hosts its eighth annual annual two-day burger takeover – think juicy, griddled patties, melty cheese, and pop-up energy on lock. It’s an homage to the Fox animated sitcom ‘‘Bob’s Burgers,’’ so the restaurant will be decorated and the staff will dress in costume. Arrive early and plan for a line. 9 a.m.-9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
🛍️ Sip, Savor & Shop by A Taste of AZ
A one-day mash-up of local bites, sips, and makers at Salt River Fields in Scottsdale. Browse artisan goods, sample Valley food and drink, and stock up on gifts while you snack. It’s the sweet spot between farmers market and festival – laid-back, local, and easy to make a day of it. Tickets are $89-$109 and include unlimited food samples and 15 drink tickets. Noon-6 p.m. Saturday.
🥃 Tequila Fest
Agave fans, assemble! Expect tequila and mezcal tastings, cocktail stations, music, and a lively crowd at Arizona Athletic Grounds in southeast Mesa. Pace yourself (water breaks are your friend) and explore beyond blanco – reposado, añejo, and espadín have entered the chat. Ride-share recommended. Tickets are $50-$90 and include 12 tequila samples. 3-9 p.m. Saturday.
💀 Día de los Muertos Party
A full-scale patio celebration of color, culture, remembrance, and late-night energy at Recreo Cantina in downtown Chandler. Free face painting, pop-up tattoos, fire dancer performance, tequila tasting hour, DJs, a best-dressed contest for a $100 gift card, and special Día de los Muertos menu of food and drinks. 4 p.m.-midnight Saturday (21+ after 8 p.m.)
🍻 Monkiversary
The Hungry Monk, Chandler’s neighborhood craft-beer hangout, throws its 16th annual birthday bash. Expect a festive tap list, ASU football and other sports on screens, and pub-style comfort food.
