Haidilao brings global hot pot experience to Mekong Plaza in Mesa

🍜 One of the world’s most famous hot pot brands has officially landed in the East Valley.

Haidilao, the global Sichuan-style hot pot powerhouse with more than 1,700 locations worldwide, has opened its first Arizona outpost at Mekong Plaza in west Mesa, bringing a high-energy, hospitality-first dining experience to one of the Valley’s most popular Asian food destinations.

If you’ve never done Haidilao, think: choose-your-own-adventure soup night, but theatrical. Guests customize broth styles (spicy Sichuan mala, tomato, mushroom, bone broth, and more), select thin-cut meats, vegetables, noodles, seafood, and dipping sauces, and cook everything tableside at their own pace.

It’s cozy, interactive, and big on variety – ideal for both group dinners and long, leisurely meals on cooler nights.

But the real signature of Haidilao is the service. Expect warm, upbeat energy, steaming hand towels, aprons, hair ties, phone screen wipes, and even noodle dancers who stretch and twirl fresh noodles right at your table.

The sauce station is extensive. The ingredients are high-quality. The vibe is lively without feeling rushed. And the spacious Mekong Plaza dining room fits right in with the plaza’s reputation as a hub of authentic Asian cuisine.
