🍖 Barbecue is back in downtown Chandler thanks to the opening of Back Alley BBQ, a chef-driven smokehouse blending traditional Texas barbecue with bold Southwestern twists.
It takes over the space near the southwest corner of Boston and Oregon that formerly was home to West Alley BBQ & Smokehouse, which closed in July.
Back Alley is the second downtown Chandler concept from Gilbert-based Hospitality First Concepts, which also operates DTC Sport Grille. Its other brands are the Rusty Buckle Saloon in Apache Junction and Dutchman’s Gold Lager Beer Company.
Under the direction of Hospitality First executive chef Shaun O’Neale and pit boss Ken Davis, Back Alley offers a variety of smoked meats – from tender brisket to juicy ribs – with creative takes on classic sides made from scratch.
There’s also craft cocktails and live music.
Hospitality First is finalizing additional Back Alley locations in Gilbert and Queen Creek.
