Bad Jimmy’s opens 4th location – 3rd this year – near downtown Tempe

🍔 Bad Jimmy’s, a former burger pop-up concept, has opened its fourth brick-and-mortar restaurant in the past two years.

This time, it’s taken over the former Gadzooks Enchiladas & Soup space on the southwest corner of University and Wilson, just west of downtown Tempe.

The menu features the same smashburgers, waffle fries, wings, and soft-serve ice cream – as well as cocktails, beer, and wine – as the other locations, plus some Tempe-only specials.

Owner and chef James Piazza began his pop-up at various Valley locales in 2021 and launched his first brick-and-mortar in the former Breadfruit & Rum Bar space in downtown Phoenix in November 2023.

Bad Jimmy’s added locations in Scottsdale in March and uptown Phoenix in July.
