🥩 J. Alexander’s is back in the Valley after more than a decade away. The Tennessee-based chain of polished American grills – known for wood-fired steaks, hearty comfort classics, and a buttoned-up-but-welcoming vibe – officially opens at 4 p.m. Monday in west Chandler.
A new 7,500-square-foot restaurant has been built where the former Buca di Beppo once stood on the southwest corner of Ray Road and 54th Street.
It marks the brand’s first Arizona restaurant since its Scottsdale debut in 2008. That original spot at The Borgata closed in 2013.
The new Chandler restaurant brings the full J. Alexander’s playbook back to the Valley: a warm, modern dining room wrapped in dark woods and soft lighting; a bustling exhibition kitchen; and the chain’s robust bar program built around top-shelf spirits and classic cocktails.
The menu is centered on hand-cut steaks, hickory-grilled entrées, sushi rolls, and elevated comfort dishes like their fan-favorite mac and cheese and smoky baby back ribs.
