November recap: 5 Valley restaurants & bars that are now closed

Mifan Claypot Kitchen: Chef Johnny Chu’s small eatery known for its Hong Kong–style claypot rice bowls has closed after three years on the ground floor of the Muse Apartments in midtown Phoenix.

TOGO’s Sandwiches: The California-born deli chain known for its hefty, old-school subs has closed its last remaining Valley location after 13 years in Gilbert.

Papa Locos Tacos & Burgers: The Tucson-based hybrid concept has closed in Tempe. None of its three Valley locations, which also included Mesa and Gilbert, lasted much more than a year.

DTC Sports Grille: The sports bar sold its year-old location (now home to Tipsy Taps & Grill) next to the Hilton Garden Inn in south Tempe, but continues to operate its original location in downtown Chandler.

Walk-On’s Sports Bistreaux: The Louisiana-based chain of family-friendly sports bars co-owned by former New Orleans Saints quarterback Drew Brees has closed its only Arizona location after three years in southeast Mesa.
