Salt & Syrup brings all-day menu of modern halal comfort food to Mesa

🥞 Syrup & Salt, a modern halal restaurant blending comfort-food cravings with Middle Eastern influences, has opened in the former Pizza Factory space on the southeast corner of Gilbert and Southern in Mesa.

The all-day breakfast menu features cookie butter pancakes, pancake tacos, chicken fajita omelets, and lamb chops and eggs. Lunch and dinner options include a BBQ beef bacon cheeseburger, steak and shrimp platter, and waffle sundae.

The Muslim-owned restaurant’s name nods to the sweet-and-savory balance running throughout the menu whether you’re grabbing chicken tenders on a syrup-drenched waffle or a gyro omelet with buttermilk pancakes.
