🐓 Twist Hot Chicken has brought its fiery fried chicken to south Tempe with a new location opening in the former Donut Parlor space on the southeast corner of Elliot and Priest.
The locally owned concept debuted in Peoria in 2022 and quickly built a following for its Nashville-style hot chicken sandwiches and spicy tenders. Twist later expanded to downtown Tempe in 2023, but that location lasted only about a year.
The menu sticks to the greatest hits of the hot-chicken wave: oversized chicken sandwiches piled high on toasted buns with slaw and pickles; crispy tenders served with Texas toast; and heat levels that typically range from no-spice to extra-hot for thrill-seekers.
Rounding things out are familiar sides like fries, mac and cheese, coleslaw, and waffle fries, plus dipping sauces for those who prefer tangy or creamy to full-blast heat.
