In a nostalgic comeback, Midwest favorite Godfather’s Pizza has returned to the East Valley after a nearly two-decade absence with a new location in Queen Creek.
It’s located on the southeast corner of Queen Creek and Signal Butte along with Zaxby’s and Starbucks.
Founded in Omaha, Neb., in 1973, Godfather’s built its reputation on thick, hearty, Midwestern-style pizzas, old-school arcades, and its iconic motto, ‘‘A pizza you can’t refuse!’’
Its most popular pizzas include the Classic Combo (pepperoni, beef, sausage, onions, black olives, and mushrooms) and Taco Pie (beef, onions, lettuce, tomatoes, cheddar, mozzarella, and taco sauce).
The brand never fully disappeared from Arizona thanks to travel plazas and smaller takeout formats, including Express locations in Buckeye and Eloy.
The Queen Creek restaurant has dine-in seating, but only four four-person tables. It does not have the all-you-can-eat buffet option available at many Midwest locations.
