👨🏽🍳 Richard Hinojosa, the former chef and co-owner of the late CRUjiente Tacos, has been hired as executive chef at the Omni Scottsdale Resort & Spa at Montelucia, Hinojosa announced on social media.
CRUjiente, an award-winning taqueria in east Phoenix’s Arcadia neighborhood, closed in May after eight years. It was named grand champion of the Arizona Taco Festival in 2017 and 2018, and was featured on the Food Network’s ‘‘Diners, Drive-Ins and Dives” (pictured).
At the Omni, Hinojosa will oversee the Spanish-inspired resort’s four restaurants – Prado, Taqueria Centro, Mbar, and Crave Café.
