🐟 Just six months after closing his family-run Seafood Market & Restaurant at Dana Park in Mesa and announcing his retirement after 31 years, Pablo Reynoso has ‘‘unretired’’ and soft-opened SoCal Seafood Market in downtown Gilbert.
The market’s name may sound familiar – Reynoso’s son, Pablo Jr., launched popular SoCal Fish Taco Company in 2013. Their businesses now are just two doors apart – on opposite sides of a barbershop – near the southeast corner of Gilbert and Page.
During its soft-opening period, SoCal Seafood Market is selling live lobsters, mussels, clams, and more than eight varieties fresh fish. Special orders are available.
For now, the market is open the same hours as the restaurant – 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Monday, 11 a.m.-8:30 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday, and 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. Friday and Saturday.
