Popular Scottsdale pizzeria Johnny T’s shuts down after a year

🚫 Johnny T’s Brooklyn Pizzeria, one the top pizzerias in Scottsdale, has closed after a little more than a year.

‘‘Unfortunately Johnny Ts will not be reopening due to labor costs, higher costs of goods, and high rent,’’ it posted on social media. ‘‘We just did not have enough business during the weekdays to cover the costs and be profitable.

‘‘Thank you all for your patronage and great reviews!! We enjoyed bringing a little of New York to Arizona.’’

Johnny T’s predecessor, Andiamo Pizzeria, opened in the strip-mall space on the northwest corner of Scottsdale and Shea in February 2024 and quickly became a viral sensation.

After three months, it announced a temporary closure to expand the space and hire more staff, but never reopened.

One of the owners of Andiamo then launched Johnny T’s, which featured much the same menu.
